He placed the phone back on the night table and flopped back against the pillows. The sound of his deep voice in the silent room made her jump.

“I know you’re here and I know what you are. It’s why I moved into this dump, I’ve been looking for you.”

His words sent shivers down her spine. What did he mean he was looking for her? He was just a mere human, what did he know of her kind?

“Go on you can come out. I know you don’t remember me but you will, I will help you.”

She stepped out of the shadows and into the light that spilled in from the window, it coated her naked body in an ethereal glow. A smile curved across her lips as she observed him. “So you think you know me, know what I am?”

His breath quickened and she could smell the desire he had for her as it poured shamelessly from his body. Nodding he pulled his body upright and sat on the edge of the bed drinking in the sight of her body.

“It has taken me two life times to find you and it was only when your essence began to fade that I finally found you.”

She recoiled away from him and hissed, “How did you know I was fading?”

“Not just fading, you were dying. You had not fed, you have lived here for many, many years. It is rare that fresh meat passes through here, this place is practically derelict. What happened to you Sasha?”

Shock registered within her. How did he know what her name had been? She had almost forgotten her human name herself and yet this man, this child knew her.

“What are you?” Her voice was barely a whisper but he heard her and smiled.

“I am your match, the one you were created for, part human to your part ghost. Whilst you are succubus, I am incubus your male counterbalance. Together we shall be one, I can free you, make you more powerful than your wildest imagination. When I let you feed from me I give you back some of your human form but when we feed together from a human that is when we truly gain power, you shall see. I have a gift for you.”

As she had listened to his words something had clicked inside her mind. He was right, she did have a match just for her. It had been told to her when she had chosen this life but she had long ago given up the hope of finding her missing half. And now here he sat, he had found her because she had almost faded completely.

“You have a gift for me?” She smiled shyly as she stepped closer to him and ran her fingers over the planes of his chest. A jolt jumped between them and she knew what he had said was true. She could feel him, feel their connection. He was anchored deep within in her spirit; her perfect match.

Growling he dragged her towards him and as she straddled his legs he thrust into her body in one smooth movement.
